Washington Trust Donates to GSRI
Joe MarcAurele (R), CEO of Washington Trust, presents a check for $5,000 to Neil Stamps (L), our council's CEO. The check represents the first of three installments on a $15,000 grant in support of the Girl Leadership Experience Center at 500 Greenwich Avenue in Warwick.

Congratulations to the girls and adults honored at the Diocese of Providence Catholic Youth Ministry and Scout Awards Celebration which took place on Sunday, March 2 at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Providence.
This national award program gives Girl Scouts the opportunity to grow in an understanding of their Catholic faith and its traditions. A national award program is available for Girl Scouts of virtually all religions.

Erickson Family Scouting Award
The East Greenwich Rotary Club has been providing scholarships to deserving young high school seniors for 30 years. Click here to find out more about the Erickson Family Scouting Award, which awards two scholarships -- one for $2,00 and one for $500 -- to a graduating high school senior who has been or is now involved with Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts.
Applicant must reside in or be involved in Girl Scouting in East Greenwich or a contiguous community: West Greenwich, Coventry, West Warwick, Warwick or North Kingstown.
Application due April 1.

2014 Annual Meeting

GSRI Closings and Delays
Effective immediately, GSRI will post closings and delays on the RI Broadcasters Cancellation System. This system reaches 28 radio stations and 6 television stations throughout southeastern New England.
Scholarship for Gold Award Recipients
Click here to find out more about the Alcoa Chuck McLane Scholarship for Girl Scout Gold Award recipients who completed a Gold Award project in Science, Techology, Engineering or Math and who are starting college in the fall of 2014. Application due April 9, 2104.
The Matty Fund
Each year we select an organization that troops may choose to financially support with some of their Cookie Sale proceeds. This year, troops can opt to make a contribution to The Matty Fund, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and families living with epilepsy.

Girl Scout Shop Hours
The Girl Scout Shop at 500 Greenwich Avenue is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5:30pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 3pm.
The Friendship Shop at Camp Hoffman is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.
Council Service Project: Project Undercover
Project Undercover is just one of the many ways in which the girls in our council "make the world a better place". This year we challenge service units to collect 4% more socks, underwear and diapers for needy children than they did last year. To incent you, each service unit that reaches its goal will have a chance to win a FREE Community Camping weekend. Click here to read more.
Socks for Sox Game
The Socks for Sox baseball game to benefit Project Undercover will take place on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 1:05pm at McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket, RI. Come for a day of family fun: entrance fee is just a package of socks, diapers or underwear per person.
