GSRI would like to send three delegates - 2 girls (between 14 and 18 years old) and one young adult chaperone to the Girls' World Forum in Chicago, IL on July 12-16, 2012. We have been able to secure funding to send a delegation, but we have a short turnaround to complete the selection process. Rock The Mall
Be a part of history. We've added a third bus heading to Washingon, DC for the Rock the Mall event on June 9, 2012. It's not too late to represent GSRI at this once in a lifetime event! Click here for more information.

Patriots Player and Wife Host Girls
On January 11, eight girls from our council's Girl Scouts Beyond Bars program were treated to an evening of style, friendship and fun, thanks to the efforts of Deion Branch, wide receiver for the New England Patriots, and his wife Shola. Read more.

Each year on February 22, Girl Guides and Girl Scouts all over the world celebrate World Thinking Day. It’s a day when Girl Guides and Girl Scouts think of each other and give thanks and appreciation for the international friendship they find in Girl Scouting. Read more.
Scholarship for Middle School Students
The Horace and Reverend E. Naomi Craig Scholarship supports the cost of tuition for middle school students who wish to attend an independent or parochial school. Deadline for application is February 15, 2012. Click here to find out more.
CSI: Girl Scouts
For the second year in a row, a large group of Rhode Island Girl Scouts was given the opportunity to solve a fun “whodunit” mystery in URI labs and in the process get exposed to some molecular science, some fancy laboratory gear and perhaps even catch a glimpse of a career path. Read more.
Project Undercover 2011
For more than 15 years, Project Undercover has been GSRI's annual council service project. Girls collect underwear, socks and diapers for the over 40,000 children in the area who live in poverty. URI Hosts Free Multi-Sport Clinic for Girls
The URI Athletic Dept invites all Girl Scouts, ages 12 and under, to a free hour long multi-sport clinic at URI's Mackal Fieldhouse on Saturday, February 11 at noon. Clinic attendees will receive a certificate of participation, a URI goodie bag and a ticket to the women's basketball game at 2pm. Click here to read more.

Senior Leadership Conference: March 9-11
Girl Scouts in 10th to 12th grade from throughout the Northeast are invited to gather at Salve Regina University from March 9-11 for the 25th Annual Senior Leadership Conference. Conference attendees will choose from more than 50 workshops on topics including college preparation, diversity, personal growth, and peer pressure.
