Enjoy the 16th Annual Rhode Island Saltwater Anglers Association Take-a-Kid Fishing Day. You must arrive at 8am, when you'll receive a souvenir cap and brief safety instructions. Meet the captain and mate of the boat, pose for pictures, and then go fishing! Fishing will take place from 8:30am-11:30am and everyone (approximately 80 boats) will fish in Greenwich Bay. At least two adults will be on every boat to help kids with the fishing. At noon all will be treated to a cookout of hot dogs and hamburgers. Every child must wear a life jacket by RI law. Life jackets will be provided. Please note: we welcome and will make provisions for handicapped children to participate, but because of the nature of this event (boats, hooks, etc), children with behavioral issues should not participate. Every group will be required to have an adequate number of adult chaperones. Girls must be ages 7-13 years old.
