17th Annual Rhode Island Saltwater Angler Association TAKE-A-KID FISHING DAY

DATE: Saturday, June 14, 2014
LEVEL:  Junior Programs
TIME: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
COST: $3 per girl
LOCATION:  Brewer's Greenwich Bay Marina, Warwick, RI
DIRECTIONS:  Click for Directions
STATUS: Closed to New Registrations

This program has reached maximum capacity for participants, so we are no longer accepting new registrations.

All groups must arrive at Brewers Greenwich Bay Marina (Warwick, RI) by 8:00 am. Then, each child will receive a souvenir cap, receive brief safety instructions, meet the captain and mate of their boat, pose for pictures, and then go out fishing! Fishing will take place between 8:30 - 11:30 and everyone (approximately 80 boats) will fish in Greenwich Bay. At least two adults will be on every boat to help kids with the fishing. At noon everyone will be treated to a cookout of hamburgers, hot dogs and snacks. *Rhode Island law: every child MUST wear a life jacket, which we will supply. Please note: We welcome and will make provisions for handicapped children to participate, but because of the nature of this event (boats, fish hooks, etc), children with behavioral issues should not participate. Every group will be required to have an adequate number of adult chaperones. (Girls ages 9-13 only)
