CHANGE IS IN THE AIR...

We are continually trying to find the magic formula for successfully delivering workshops
for our adult volunteers. We've tried many different methods over the years. While you
have expressed that you value these opportunities, you've also let us know that
workshops need to be scheduled in a more flexible way to better meet your needs.

With this in mind, we have come up with a completely new approach. Beginning next
fall, each association will be entitled to one customized workshop event. You choose
the date, you choose the location, you choose the topic most relevant to your needs and
interests.

Topics may include any of the traditional offerings such as Troop Trips II, Journeys or
Songs & Ceremonies OR something completely different! If you have an idea for
something new, please share it with your SUM.

We will be able to schedule workshops during the months of October, November,
January, February or April -- but are limited to two per month. Final workshop
schedules will be posted on the website so that leaders can attend a workshop outside
of their own association area if they wish.

Troop leaders are encouraged to participate in the planning process. Please contact
your Service Unit Manager, at your earliest convenience, to let them know that you are
interested.
