Programs – Girls 11 to 17

GIRLS 11 - 14:
Girls between the ages of eleven and fourteen, grades seven through nine, are eligible for the Girls 11 – 14 program. In some situations, girls age eleven and in sixth grade may be Girls 11 – 14s. Girls 11 – 14, like Juniors, govern themselves by the patrol system, executive board, or town meeting format. Recognition available to girls 11-14 include: interest project patches, the From Dreams to Reality patch, the Girls 11 – 14 Program Aide pin and patch, the Girls 11 – 14 Leadership Award, Leader-in-Training and Counselor-In-Training pins, the Girls 11 -14 Girl Scout Challenge, Community Service Bars, religious awards, the Girl Scout Silver Award, and the Bridge to Senior Girl Scouts patch.

Senior Conference 2009 grades 10-12

TREC 2008

Cost:                $65(2 adults and 3 girls, each additional girl is $10

Girl Scouts 14 – 17
Girls 14 – 17 are from fourteen to seventeen years old or in the ninth through twelfth grades.
Girls 14 – 17 abide by the same troop governmental structures as both Juniors and Girls 11 – 14.
Girls 14 – 17 have the opportunity to earn: interest project patches, the Girls 14 – 17 Program Aide pin and patch, the Career Exploration pin, the Girls 14 – 17 Leadership Award, the Senior Girl Scout Challenge, Leader-In-Training pin, Girls 14 – 17 Troop Assistant, Counselor-In-Training pin, Community Service Bars, religious awards and recognitions, the Ten-Year Award, the Girl Scout Gold Award and the Bridge to Adult Girl Scouts pin.


Scholarships
Colleges and universities in increasing numbers are beginning to recognize the merits of the Girl Scout experience by awarding and making available scholarships and grants for Girl Scouts and recipients of the Girl Scout Gold Award.
