The most coveted distinctions in Girl Scouting are the Girl Scout Bronze Award (Juniors), the Girl Scout Silver Award (Girl Scouts 11-14), and the Girl Scout Gold Award (Girl Scouts 14-17). Girl Scouts of Rhode Island awards these distinctions to girls who have completed exceptional projects that respond to needs within the community. Girl Scouts of the USA has introduced new guidelines for higher awards. There will be a two-year transition period to phase in the new criteria. If you have any questions, please contact Laurie Pansa, Director of Program and Training at (401) 331-4500 x 1400.
