Training - Overview

Thank you for your interest in GSRI's training programs!
Do you want to take your volunteer experience to the next level? Participate in a GSRI training program and learn to pass on your experience and knowledge to the next generation.

Girl Scouts of the USA believes that girls in our program deserve high caliber adult leadership. Adults who volunteer for Girl Scouting bring with them important knowledge and life skills.

Girl Scouts of Rhode Island, Inc. provides adult training programs that enable volunteers to apply their experience to their role in Girl Scouting, to learn the methods and materials special to Girl Scouting, and to expand their own abilities in ways personally useful in the job market.

Every adult volunteer and executive staff member in Girl Scouting is selected on the basis of qualifications for membership, ability to perform the job, and willingness and availability to participate in training.

Would you like to become a GSRI trainer?
GSRI is recruiting new Trainers to help expand the Girl Scout program and meet the needs of training new leaders. The role of a GSRI trainer in Girl Scouting is to design and facilitate training so that every learning event successfully meets the varying needs of each adult and results in changes in thinking, behavior, or values that benefit the Girl Scout movement.  Please contact Martha Frutchey at mfrutchey@gsri.org.
