Notice to Gold Award Recipients: GSRI is delighted to announce that Bryant University is recognizing the incredible achievements of Girl Scouts of Rhode Island Gold Award recipients by offering Gold Award Achievement Scholarships to as many as SIX Gold Award recipients this year! Learn more at the bottom of this page!

Service is an inherent part of Girl Scouting. No matter at what age a girl joins, she can share in meaningful projects that promote civic responsibility and see how her efforts can impact her community. The projects girls create and implement in order to earn their awards are always about contributing to community. At Girl Scouts of Rhode Island, we are so proud of our awards recipients! Check out this page at the end of spring to find out who earned awards this year!

Ask a girl what Girl Scouting means to her and the first thing she’s likely to say is, “FUN!”  While that’s certainly true, many girls will also tell you that Girl Scouting is where they learn about community service – what it is, and how it can change the world.

The most coveted distinctions in Girl Scouting are the Girl Scout Bronze Award(Juniors),the Girl Scout Silver Award(Girl Scouts 11-14), and the Girl Scout Gold Award (Girl Scouts 14-17). Girl Scouts of Rhode Island awards these distinctions to girls who have completed exceptional projects that respond to needs within the community.
