COUNCIL OFFICE:
The GSRI Council office is based in the historic Canal House, on the Moshassuck River in Providence. Staff employed by the council make their headquarters at the office, although most Girl & Adult Services staff are out in the council’s communities regularly. The council office and its camp facilities are used for meetings, training sessions and individual or group conferences. DIRECTIONS TO THE OFFICE
The Council office is located at 125 Charles Street in Providence, RI across from The Marriott at the foot of Orms Street. INTERSTATE 95
From the north, take exit 23, Charles Street. Follow one-way traffic to Charles Street. Due to construction, follow traffic rerouting. Turn slight right onto Orms Street and make an immediate left onto other side, backtracking. You will be facing downhill towards Canal House. Follow directions below.* From the south, take exit 23, State Offices. Turn left on Orms and go to bottom of the hill. Canal house is straight ahead. Turn left onto Charles St., take first right into Stevens Street, then right into first parking lot. *At the far end of the parking lot, walk across the canal on the footbridge, up the stairs to front door on Charles Street. For night and weekend activities, ring bell located at left of front door.
